I have to DJ for an 80 year old Thai woman's birthday party today. I've got Achy Breaky Heart and Electric Boogie on cue. Oh the things I'm willing to do for money these days.

How much does it pay / are you stripping?

It paid 500 for about 5 hours of work, plus tips (not including setup time, which would make it about 7 hours or work).  Turned out to be ridiculously easy, as the party was mostly presentations by family members, a slideshow, some choreographed dancing to some specific songs they requested, and eating. It was basically a huge, expensive, ridiculously well-planned event to honor a rather large Filipino family's grandmother (turned out she wasn't Thai).  A lot of what I was doing was just filler.

I didn't strip.  I was barely noticed.

finally got a new job making pretty good money... its going to be a little stressful as the team im joining are sitting in like the tenth spot out of all the other companies in the country and they are trying to work there way up to the top 3... ill be a desk jockey for a debt collection agency- im sure there will be many delinquents that will want to talk to me lol...

i was more interested in moving from within the company and the security of knowing i can do that once i graduate- they create new jobs not all the time but they do.

i have so much debt right now i cannot wait to pay it all off..

think in 5-6 months i will buy a vehicle...

I think you love Dodges like I love Volkswagens. Go for the Dodge. Shitty cars are hard to find these days. There are just good cars and better cars now.

And by that I mean, I rented a Dodge Caliber a few years back and I loved it. Dodges had a shitty reputation back in the day (especially when Married...With Children was airing), but I don't think there are very many terrible cars out there from any manufacturer anymore. Shit, even Kias kick ass now, and they used to be awful.

I am having all four wisdom teeth removed tomorrow and in one clean swoop I have exhausted my dental benefits. I will actually owe 1.2k. But goddamn I have been in a lot of pain. I've already lost five pounds in the last four or five days of eating mostly smooshed foods.

I don't think I said anything funky. I am very very very hungry and unwilling to leave the bedroom after I almost passed out going to the restroom. So I need to wait for chad to get home to get meds and something to slurp.

that's why I waited so long. Insurance really helped and it still want enough. I have carecredit so I used that for the remaining balance.

It makes me sad that people have to pay ridiculous money for healthcare or lackthereof... This is supposed to be America man!

Yeah, any help was appreciated. It covered just over half which is great. I wouldn't have been able to afford all of it in one go.

Yeah, that might be a cavity. I had issues chewing on my left side until I had a cavity filled last year. The wisdom teeth really fucked me up for a while until I couldn't take it anymore.

Do you know how you will pay for what the insurance doesn't cover? Some places have pretty decent payment plans.

What does a cavity feel like?

Like a localized pain or discomfort when chewing or eating too cold or too hot beverages. They can be finicky.

damn... ive never had a cavity and the thing is i dont go overboard with my teeth cleaning either... i brush my teeth at least once a day minimum... i floss maybe every other day but when i floss i floss like a boss, blood everywhere!

I've never had good teeth care so I am not surprised I need a lot of work done. It's awesome you haven't had to worry about cavities and such

its surprising i have good teeth since my father has like three of his own teeth in his head (i guess his family dentist was fucked when he was growing up, plus he was a massive linebacker and played football his whole life back when helmets did little to protect your face lol)

my mother had alright teeth considering her family had many children/siblings and they didnt have money...

I do have a tiny chip on one of my front teeth (upper) from a fistfight from high school. I had to go to court for Assault and battery and all i got out of it was this stupid chipped tooth... I definitely want to fix it if i can but you have to really look to see it but i obviously notice it. not that it mars my hunky/handsome good looks (jk) but i think it kind of gives me an edgy tough look too...

I have a dentist locally I use to go to. He was able to set up a payment plan for my parents when they were paying for it, so I'm hoping he'll work with me. He's the best dentist I've had.

I needed a lot of work in my childhood and teens, but since then I've brushed and flossed religiously out of fear of having to go through it again. Also my dad's teeth are fucked up, and I don't want to get to that point. He has a rotten tooth that smells funky. He has a moldy tooth. He's only 60.

Your dad's teeth sound painful. 

I've begun brushing and flossing more regularly since my visit last year. Hopefully I have insurance from now on so I don't have to lose many more teeth.

one of my bottom teeth just started hurting today.. it is protruding just enough that it hits one of my front teeth so when i bite down or try to keep my mouth closed i usually hit it.. it's a little wiggly and very annoying.. i'm hoping this is something that just clears up on it's own

My face is starting to bruise but on the plus side I was able to eat solid foods! Not sure if I should have but I was too hungry and I didn't really chew. I just swallowed, like a duck.

Half my face is swollen and it has started to bruise. I kind of wish I had an extra sick day to take tomorrow. I've been in a weird state of "am I sleeping?" the last few days. 

I am feeling better but weakly. I'm eating some solid foods now because I can't stay healthy with only soft foods. My stomach is just constantly grumbling anyway. I'm so tired all the time. 

In happier news Chad performed at the SJ Improv last night. That was so awesome. I hope he gets to perform there again.

I decided to get a smart phone after realizing my computer wasn't going to suddenly be good at streaming video again.

It's nice to have a backup.

My modem was busted, but we got a new one, faster internet, and I have basic cable now too.

I got it several months ago, actually. It's a Droid razr M, I think. 

I left it in my coworker's car yesterday. Finally got it back this evening. I feel like I could survive the fall of technology now.
