I used the BOG in community college. didn't pay for books though.

I got a letter saying they're going to call for the phone interview for my food stamps on monday between 12:30 and 5:00. that's good, except that I work on monday from 10:30 to 3:45. I don't know what to do.

I could try just telling my managers that I'm expecting a phone interview and I need to take my break whenever they call, but that's not very professional. then there's the chance that they'll actually call in the 75 minutes when I'm not working.

I honestly don't see that as a problem. It's not "not professional". This is your life/health. It's important. They should understand. Knowing the state, they'll wait until the last minute to call you anyways, and it won't be a problem.

I know. I should. But, I'm only going in hopes that I get accepted to transfer to Cal Poly SLO. And for Cal Poly's Architecture program, it's VERY difficult to get in. If I don't get in, I'll feel like I wasted my time. I've already got an AA in Architecture. So going to JC isn't really an option. I just want my BS degree if I can't work right now. Annnnd, I prefer not to leave NorCal. I don't feel like I would fit in at Cal Berkeley either.

I know SLO isn't NorCal, but it's only 3 +/- hours from SJ. So it's not horrible. I'm scared of Los Angeles. Too many people.
