The Music topic (new releases)
Qotsa- like clockwork is great
Daft punk- random access memories is alright
Im really excited for the nin album which trent revealed today he has been working on the past year. I hope its unlike "the slip" and "year zero." I prefer the kind of organic sounds of the fragile...
Any other new releases catch your eye? (Or should i say ears?)
Recommend something too!

Haven't fully enjoyed a Qotsa album since Songs for the Deaf.
New daft is over-hyped, but it's alright.
Re: The Music topic (new releases)
I didnt like lullabies a whole lot but i really dug era vulgaris. This new album is surprisingly better after every listen. My first listen was kind of all this confusion because the riffs arent as driving as homme usually writes them and dave grohl is definitely on the album but in a much different way thats not typically grohl- none of those hooky/snappy/snare-centric sounds im used to hearing from him. Its surprisingly low key..

Tempting, but there's no point seeing as how nobody here listens to the same kind of music I do. But for the record, I also dig the new QOTSA.

Since no one said it, the new Tricky album is pretty good. Waiting on the new Ours to come out.

That's a pretty broad scope, there are many types of music played at EDC. That's like asking if I listen to the same kind of music played at Coachella. But if you mean electronic music, then yeah, I do enjoy a lot of electronic music. Definitely not all of it. I don't listen to the really aggressive stuff all that much, although I don't hate it either. I'm probably not going to EDC this year. It doesn't really interest me that much this year. I'm pretty excited about the lineup over at www.hardsummer.com however.
My favorite electronic music is called "Future Garage" with artists like Disclosure, Rudimental or Kastle. I like minimal or reggae dubstep like Skream and Rusko, as opposed to the violent stuff like Excision, unless the music is really smart, like Nero. Right now, I'm listening to a Pete Tong mix. I usually really like everything he puts out. Even when it's more aggressive, I still think he has great taste.

Re: The Music topic (new releases)
My musical taste is actually pretty easy to figure out. If it's some sci-fi space shit, I love it (especially if it uses a lot of Jupiter 8 or Moog Voyager sounds). If it's reggae or something close to it, I love it. If it sounds like it was made in 1995 but with 2013 recording equipment, I love it.

Great stuff! That guthrie track reminds me of Mew.
Re: The Music topic (new releases)
Yeah! Guthrie is also responsible for the exceptional Sword and Sworcery soundtrack for the iOS game of the same name. Dude is super talented.
