I just saw it in Imax this morning 8:30 showing to avoid the crowds. I liked it and it's probably my favorite of the three batman movies.

I agree with the nitpicks regarding a few things:

1) How he just shows up in Gotham all of a sudden after escaping the prison. I agree it isn't that important but it is way to convenient.
2) After having his back broken (it was actually broken correct?) he did a pushup routine for a couple of months and then he has all his strength back plus some. Again too convenient.
3) I hated the way just as Bane was about to blow batman's head off catwoman blasts him away. It's again just too convenient.

That being said, I acknowledge that's really nitpicking and I think it's probably the best superhero movie I've ever seen.

I read Ebert's review(which I enjoyed) and he complained about Bane's motives being muddled and unclear and that his two plans (the martial law and nuke) contradicted each other. I totally disagree, I thought it was very clear what he was trying to accomplish and I thought they both served a purpose.

I could understand Bane perfectly the entire time and I thought his voice sounded great.

The Batman franchise has probably peaked.

I'd say the superhero genre has peaked.

i think its ridiculous having another Thor and Captain America and Iron Man movie. Too much all at once... I dont really like those Marvel movies anyway, they can be fun but it seems they dont strive for more...

I don't think the new Marvel movies are necessary, unless they are really trying to make Avengers 2 as big as the first one. I definitely don't enjoy any of those movies nearly as much as Nolan's Batman films, but most likely I'll end up watching every single Marvel movie that comes out simply for the lack of anything better going on.

The Killer Croc reference made me giggle, but no one around me seemed to laugh. They were lame.

I think when it comes to the entire Dark Knight trilogy, Scarecrow was the only true winner. He got to do anything he wanted, probably had a shit ton of fun doing so, outsurvived Batman, and somehow didn't even end up back in prison.

i thought he was in prison, possibly blackgate prison, although i think he shouldve been in arkham. i read a snippet from the novelization and it explained that there were rumors that there was only a single occupant of arkham- the joker...

Batman should have been the one to defeat Bane, not Catwoman.

My only complaint about this film.

rewatched it again today (bootleg)...

i love the concept of a city takeover but i feel there couldve been more scenes of the city in despair and more crowd shots of a city in chaos...

it stands well on its own. still has a few problems: the wisecracking cops arent very funny and dont really provide cheap laughs... again, when bruce returns to gotham and talia sees him with fox and bruce and selina go off, then later after batman "returns" with the flaming bat symbol- bane says "impossible" and is surprised when he shouldve known bruce was back after talia/miranda saw him earlier... some of the explosions were lackluster and there shouldve been more damage to some things... i think they needed the music from the nokia trailer (im sure its in this topic somewhere from me) shouldve been played near the end... hated the exposition provided by alfred when he explains who bane is- its just not believable and i wouldve liked bruce to investigate to find out for himself...

in a perfect world, heath ledger wouldnt have died and would have had a medium role in this movie (kept with bane as is). joker wouldve been the judge of the kangaroo court and wouldve been a "wild card" (always sunny in philly reference) that fucks up banes plan at the end and somehow makes it more emotionally agonizing for batman but also for bane and talia... one can only dream..

supposedly there is a bane scene cut that shows him with a beta mask and him training with the league...
