i saw lots of pg-13 movies when i was 5-6. might be a little intense for him but theres nothing suggestive or realistically violent...

I saw it and enjoyed it more than I thought i would.
It can be fairly violent - not really blood just a lot of destruction of buildings, etc.
I really don't know what would be appropriate for that age and it might depend on the child and if you can talk to him about it afterward.
