I'd be interested in joining. I enjoy skull crushers, but I can't say that I've ever tried to do a reverse-gripped bench press.

I think a blog would be a good way of keeping track of your progress, and sharing with others. I sorta have one that I'm going to make an effort of updating, and when I do i'll share it here.

I've done reverse grip for a while. It's much easier on the shoulder joint for me,esp when trying heavier lifts. If you do try it make sure you build up to heavier lifts because it is awkward on the wrist until you're used to it and I also place my hands a little wider than standard grip. Make sure you have a good grip because its more dangerous and can fall out of your hand if you're not careful I've had it happen in high school and it hurt having that shit hit your collar bone.

Still plugging away I'm down 43 pounds since January. Work has been like 11 hour days and I haven't been in the gym as much because of that. I've put up 315 pounds on the bench and done that twice now and I did 425 deadlift once. I tried on a size 34 pants from high school and they fit, but they were tight. An old friend from wrestling has a mma school and I might take some jui jitzu classes if I ever can afford them.

I want to work out again real bad. But can't find the motivation to do it. And I don't have money for a gym membership.

I have this thing (minus the ab straps):

It actually works. I'm only ~150 lbs. Over 200 and you'll probably rip the door jamb off the wall.

I also have 2 - 15 lbs dumbbells.

How often do you end up using that.

I'm averaging between 4 and 5 trips to the gym each week. My eating has really improved. A couple nights a week my dinner is just boiled cauliflower and carrots or spinach or just some vegetable. Overall it's really improved.

I probably would have lost more weight by now except that I went on vacation with a couple of my friends and all they wanted to eat was fast food so I kind of had to go with the flow and I didn't get to the gym for those couple of weeks.

When I was using it, my workouts were usually 3 days a week. Monday, Wed., Friday.

It works well for the pull ups. Not so well for sit ups/crunches. Sometimes I used it for push ups, but I prefer the floor more often than not.

It's not a big piece either. It fits well on the shelf in my closet, kinda hanging over. And it's lightweight.

I really want to try this thing out though:

I'm down to 224 pounds and according to this body fat caliper I'm at 17% body fat. I switched to golds gym because it was super cheap and had way more equipment. I really want to start jui jitzu classes, but I don't want to spend 60 bucks a month for once a week classes.

Don't know what the colleges are like in your area, but some have martial arts/boxing/etc as part of their PE class schedule. Oh also dance.
